As hard as it was to watch Grandpa that last week, I am so grateful that we were all able to be with him and the rest of the family. Thank you Lisa, Laureen, and Lynette for coming into town, helping Grandpa, Grandma, and my mom through this "journey", AND providing the comic relief needed to survive...a "double whammy."
Lana and I decided that every February 11th we need to pay our tribute to Grandpa and his memory by going to a cafe for breakfast or lunch, since that was one of his favorite things to do and one of our favorite things to do was to go with him.
Oh Jessica, That week for me was just wonderful. Infact I got emotional when I re-read my journal entries from that week. How grateful I am that I was there with you guys and that I have kept a record of those wonderful days
I would like you all to know our prayers are with you at this time. Farrin was a wonderful uncle! We will miss him. Let me know if you need anything.
ReplyDeleteMy Grandpa loved food and I am happy that love of food was handed down to me!!! So the Love of food that he enjoyed so much will never fad away.
